Collin County has started construction on the Park Boulevard extension that continues Park Blvd. to the East from Parker Road, using portions of Skyview Drive and Spring Creek Parkway, connecting to Hwy 78 by Walmart.
This 4-lane divided roadway, which includes a 1,300-foot-long bridge over the CPKC railroad tracks, will provide a critical east-west connector when completed with McMillen Road and Park Boulevard. The project is fully funded, designed, and managed by Collin County.
As part of the project, Skyview Drive will be closed to through traffic from Forest Ross Road to the North entrance of the North Texas Municipal Water District beginning Tuesday, September 30, and will remain closed for approximately 8 months.
